Weekend Streaming: Week 25

Searching for five players to help you win your Week 25 matchup.

Welcome back to another weekend streaming article where I select five players based on hot streaks, pitching/team matchups, or a combination of things to help fantasy managers acquire cheap, low-roster rate (35% or below) production to help win the last two days of their weekly matchups. This week, I’ll be highlighting five players who have been rolling production-wise heading into mid-September.

Let’s dive into Week 25…

Connelly Early, LHP, Boston Red Sox

Early has looked the part and then some since joining the Red Sox rotation, striking out eighteen batters while allowing just one earned run through his first two starts (thanks to an implosion by relief pitcher Greg Weissert, who allowed the inherited runner on first base to score). 43% strikeout, 18% swinging-strike, and 35% CSW rates? Sign me up!

Mickey Moniak, OF, Colorado Rockies

Moniak has been electric in the month of September, turning in a 1.073 OPS and 181 wRC+ in 56 plate appearances. A lot of that production is thanks to a wild streak where he’s hit at least one home run in four consecutive games. Over that span, Moniak has gone 9-for-16 (.563) with five bombs and two stolen bases, driving in eleven runs. He’s the hottest hitter in baseball right now.

Rostered: 29% (Yahoo)

Andrew Benintendi, OF, Chicago White Sox

Benintendi may have just a 101 wRC+ on the year, but he’s played a lot better than that mark this month. In fact, this string of quality offensive performances dates back to August 23rd. Since that point, Benintendi has gone 23-for-74 (.311) with 6 home runs and 15 RBI, turning in a .947 OPS and 159 wRC+. He’s quietly had a tremendous end to the season.

Rostered: 7% (Yahoo)

Heriberto Hernández, OF, Miami Marlins

Talk about another quiet, yet dominant finisher. Out of nowhere, Hernandez has been superb with Miami, going 6-for-13 (.462), drawing 5 walks compared to just one strikeout, mashing 2 home runs, and turning in the 6th-best wRC+ (288) and OPS (1.523) this week. He’s hammering the ball (95 aEV, 62% HH), resulting in elite production.

Rostered: 11% (Yahoo)

Joey Cantillo, LHP, Cleveland Guardians

Cantillo, 25, has been very good with Cleveland in 2025, tossing 85.1 innings with a 3.27 ERA/3.70 FIP and a 32% CSW rate. Since the start of August, let alone September, it’s hard to find a guy who’s consistently posted day in and day out like Cantillo has. He’s allowed one or fewer earned runs while going at least five innings per start over his last five outings, good for a 1.21 ERA. The Guardians are hot, and so is this southpaw!

Rostered: 25% (Yahoo)
