Welcome back to another weekend streaming article where I select five players based on hot streaks, pitching/team matchups, or a combination of things to help fantasy owners acquire cheap, low-roster rate (35% or below) production to help win the last two days of their weekly matchups. This week, I’ll be highlighting five players who have been rolling production-wise heading into late-August.
Let’s dive into Week 23…
Jeremiah Jackson, UT, Baltimore Orioles
Forgive me, Jeremiah Jackson, I was not familiar with your game. The 25-year-old slashed a modest .313/.343/.537 in Triple-A en route to his major league promotion, and has since turned in even better production over a month-long sample. The right-handed hitter has gone 34-for-106 (.321) with 11 extra-base hits, 15 runs, and 17 RBI through 29 games. He hits the ball hard (91 aEV, 46% HH, 9% barrel rate), not to mention has done a tremendous job at adjusting to (and crushing) offspeed in the majors. Jackson is both infield and outfield eligible on Yahoo, making it even easier to find a way to plug his production into your lineup.

Jared Triolo, UT, Pittsburgh Pirates
Triolo’s 2025 stat line is quite underwhelming – a .222/.320/.351 slash line with a subpar 88 wRC+ – but he’s been one of the best hitters in baseball for a little over a small sample size. Dating back to August 3, the 27-year-old has slashed .323/.417/.495 with a 13% walk rate and 155 wRC+. This includes a span from 8/13-8/26 where the righty went on a tear, going 17-for-41 (.415) with six extra-base hits, finishing off that stretch with five consecutive multi-hit games. Similar to Jackson above, Triolo can play essentially anywhere, which makes him that much easier to slot into your fantasy lineup.

Harrison Bader, OF, Philadelphia Phillies
Talk about a classic Dealin’ Dave Dombrowski deadline win. Bader, 31, has been nothing short of exceptional since joining the Phillies. He’s turned in a National League-leading .447 batting average over the past two weeks, going 17-for-38 with seven extra-base hits on a 14% barrel rate, a 54% hard-hit rate, and a 91 aEV. If he doesn’t get to second base via a hit, his speed also allows him to be a base-stealing threat.

Andrew McCutchen, OF, Pittsburgh Pirates
Unc’s still got it! The 38-year-old has a 21% walk rate and .488 OBP over the past two weeks, each good for second-best in the National League over that span. He’s also starting to heat up with the stick, going 12-for-34 (.353) with six extra-base hits, 11 RBI, 11 walks, and nine strikeouts since August 22, and the underlying stuff hasn’t regressed at all – .439 xwOBA (12th in MLB), 91 aEV, 43% hard-hit rate, and an 8% barrel rate. In what may be his last hoorah, Cutch is going out with a bang.

Brandon Sproat, RHP, New York Mets
Mere hours ago, we got the news that the Mets have promoted yet another top pitching prospect amidst their late-season playoff push! First Nolan McLean, then Jonah Tong, and now Sproat… how can you not be excited about this young rotation??
Sproat, 24, has pitched to a 4.24 ERA/4.20 FIP with a 1.24 WHIP and a 22% strikeout rate in Triple-A Syracuse this season. He’s limited EVs relatively well and generates ground balls over 50% of the time. Hopefully, he can tick down the walks a bit in his major league cup of coffee.
