Welcome back to another weekend streaming article where I select five players based on hot streaks, pitching/team matchups, or a combination of things to help fantasy owners acquire cheap, low-roster rate (35% or below) production to help win the last two days of their weekly matchups. This week, I’ll be highlighting five players who have been rolling production-wise heading into late-August.
Let’s dive into Week 22…
Luis Matos, UTL, San Francisco Giants
Matos, 23, got off to an abysmal start in 2025. He’s slashing just .206/.250/.441 on the year with a 90 wRC+, but his production has taken a major leap since being re-promoted from Triple-A Sacramento. Over his last six games: 9-for-22 (.409) with three doubles, a triple, and two homers. His 273 wRC+ is also the best in baseball over that span.

Kyle Teel, C, Chicago White Sox
Teel, 23, has looked as-advertised for Chicago. Through 53 games at the major league level, the rookie is slashing .295/.382/.416 with a 127 wRC+. Since August 18, the left-handed slugger has taken his production to the next level, going 15-for-30 (.500) with a 1.279 OPS and 258 wRC+. He has five multi-hit games over that span and has 7 hits through his last three games alone. Just an absurdly talented kid.

Ian Seymour, LHP, Tampa Bay Rays
I noted Seymour was one of the more intriguing arms that debuted in 2025. His stuff doesn’t jump off the page, but he’s able to generate an abundant amount of whiffs and rack up CSW. The 26-year-old has put together a great year in the pen, so good that the Rays promoted him into the starting rotation… and he did not disappoint, delivering 5 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 0 ER, 8 K (28% whiff / 34% CSW). He faces the lowly Nationals on Sunday, a lineup that hasn’t produced a lot in general (23rd best wRC+) or against LHPs (ironically also 23rd).

Dylan Beavers, OF, Baltimore Orioles
Beavers is one of the hottest-hitting players on the planet, let alone rookies, going 11-for-32 (.344) with 5 XBH in his first ten career major league games. He’s also walking at a 20% clip. The 24-year-old put together a superb minor league campaign, slashing .304/.420/.515 with a 151 wRC+, leading to a well-deserved promotion. If your outfield needs a boost in the OBP category, perhaps Beavers is your guy!

Dustin May, RHP, Boston Red Sox
May, 27, has been on-and-off since becoming the Red Sox sole starting pitcher acquisition at the deadline. He was phenomenal through three starts, even despite the major BABIP luck he put up with, but fell apart against the Yankees and the short porch. He’ll face the second-worst lineup in major league baseball this weekend, the Pirates, who own an 83 wRC+ and .657 OPS as a team this season.
Mind you he’s been insanely unlucky over this span: .292 BAA ➡️ .232 xBA & .383 babip. Surely that’ll drop soon.
Underlying stuff is great: .293 xwOBA, 31% CSW (45% on secondaries, FC is great), 42% GB, 6% barrel.
