I call many pitchers a TEEs, standing for The End of and ERA, suggesting that their super good ERA is bound to come crashing in the near future. Jose Urena, despite going 5.0 IP, 0 ER, 7 Hits, 1 BBs, 2 Ks and holding a 3.36 ERA over his last 13 starts, is one of those guys. I'm sure there are a good amount of owners that are swearing by the Marlins' hurler but let's dive into what he's done in this 13 game stretch. Just three starts over four strikeouts, holding a 5.6 IPS, a .236 BABIP (around .285 xBABIP in these starts), with an scFIP around 4.50 in that time. So he's barely striking out batters, not surviving long enough for Quality Starts, and should be allowing plenty more runs and baserunners. Yeah, this is a bad idea for a 12-teamer.
